Life Sciences Workplace and Research Lab Fit-Out

Intellia Therapeutics is a leading genome editing company working to develop curative therapeutics that have the potential to transform the lives of people with severe and life threatening diseases. The company is leveraging a biological tool known as the CRISPR/Cas9 system to explore permanently editing disease-associated genes in the human body. Redgate provided project management services to consolidate the company’s two Cambridge, Massachusetts locations to one 65,000 SF workplace supporting growth of up to approximately 200 employees. The project involved the adaptive reuse of an existing building to accommodate Intellia’s program including an open, collaborative work environment, labs, and a 5,000 SF animal care facility. Redgate’s services included lease negotiation, lab planning, early procurement, design, construction, landlord interface, and team oversight.
