Consolidation and relocation of two offices

A cloud computing software company sought to consolidate two regional offices in Burlington and Boston into one at 65 Network Drive in Burlington. Redgate was hired to ensure timely delivery of a very tight schedule. Challenges for this project included:

• Finding suitable construction materials that would work with schedule.
• Ordering electrical equipment that required long lead times.
• Responding to rising construction costs.
• Collaborating with a GC managed by the landlord.

The Redgate team quickly addressed the challenges we faced. With time a pressing issue, we offered temporary solutions that would allow the project to progress. For example, the new office operated with a temporary electrical system until the permanent system arrived. The project team also underwent an extensive Value Engineering (VE) process that maximized the value of the space without compromising on time or money. Redgate successfully reduced total construction costs by 70%.  Additionally, we maintained constant communication with all parties involved to navigate the unique contract and ensure that any changes or alterations were accepted efficiently by all.

Thanks to Redgate’s efforts, this cloud computing company could relocate to its new office on schedule. In addition, our team successfully reduced the total construction budget by 70% while ensuring this vibrant company received the same amount of space and experience for employees.
